Without doubt you should start by completing a full audit of your system . Listing everything you think maybe be connected to the internet or network. As a precaution, list and document ALL electronic equipment.

Ensure first it is switched on, normally it is set to on as default but it can be sometimes swicthed off by mistake or by a configuration change. The default settings give adequate protction but more specific a change in configuration may be needed.
